From 13 to 17 July 2026, the Monastery of Petralia Sottana will host South as Method – Research School, an intensive program dedicated to the theme “Imagination from Below.”
Over the course of five days, PhD researchers, artists, and activists will come together to explore imagination as a political and epistemic practice: a space for study, dialogue, and collective experimentation in which to question and develop new forms of knowledge, resistance, and the construction of possible futures.
Through conversations, shared practices, and interdisciplinary research, conviviality becomes a method, and imagination a tool for thinking otherwise about the present.
