The GROUP50:50 artists, the percussionist Huguette Tolinga and the theatremakers Christiana Tabaro and Michael Disanka from Kinshasa, and the Palermo-based artists and activists Cheikh Sene and Diawara Bandiougou explore the connections between drumming and the commemoration of the dead together with a group of students, artists and activists – inventing new transcultural rituals to mourn personal losses and forgotten dead. The performance is the result of a ten-day workshop in Palermo.
