The Between Land and Sea 2025 catalogue gathered personal contributions reflecting on this edition’s theme, “Meaning,” as a shared space between practices, memories, and visions.
For the festival, Église and Scuola di Restanza e Futuro presented The Act of Staying, a public assembly inviting artists, activists, and educators to reflect on restanza in border territories. Born from Église’s experience in the Kalsa district, the project is an educational, artistic, and political path that intertwines art, territory, and imagination through three research strands: Disobedient Margin, Ecosystems of Care, and Imaginary Narratives.
For the School, “Meaning” is a collective process: it emerges from shared experience and from the ability to transform what we live in our territories into knowledge, active memory, and future possibilities.
