TOWARDS DISSOLUTION is a spectral walk among the storage tanks of the ISAB refinery in Syracuse. In the toxic haze of petroleum, a figure attempts to cleanse themselves of tar, yet the substance clings to the skin. Artist Anna Engelhardt explores the ecological and political implications of refining, unveiling the “infrastructural horror” that permeates bodies and landscapes. A visual narrative of dissolution and resistance. In collaboration with the Lisbon Architecture Triennale.
