We are entering a new stage in the political, social and cultural worldwide panorama. Wars and climate crises are only some of the crucial drivers we have to deal with in the next incoming years. What can our cities do to support our communities and engage citizens and civil society in the field of intercultural competencies? What tools do they have available for the valorisation of diversity?
What can the European Union do to support cities in this difficult role, and how can it intervene on the dastardly agreements that some states have signed among themselves?

We strongly believe in the crucial role of municipalities for promoting political, social and cultural participation, exchange and understanding. We look at these municipalities as democratic spaces in which people from diverse origins can live together, and create new forms of solidarity and connections, to better address today’s challenges and to improve the quality of people’s lifes.
