Room to Bloom was a growing platform bringing together feminist artists with a migration background and practices with an ecological and postcolonial/decolonial approach. By associating artists and creators who – too often – occupy a peripheral place in the world of arts and places who are considered to be geographically peripheral (Sicily, Ukraine, Poland, or Greece), Room to Bloom aimed at building a discourse on European and transnational culture that is fully built on the experience and knowledge of the periphery and to bring it back to the centre.

With the 2022-2023 mentorship programme, Room to Bloom aimed to provide a boost to emerging feminist artists international visibility and careers and an opportunity for them to work out in a growing network in Palermo and in Europe.  Throughout the programme the Room to Bloom Community and mentors accompanied emerging artists in their professional development.
