Studio Rizoma x Autostrada Biennale: SUMMIT in Prizren

When
14—16 septembre 2024,
Where
Autostrada Biennale Hangar (Prizren)

Autostrada Hangar I and Hangar II will host a dynamic and meaningful program including panel discussions on cultural restoration, collaborative artistic production, and food practices, alongside culinary workshops and insightful sessions on artwork recycling. The program will end with a sunset DJ session.

In the practice of Fondazione Studio Rizoma the collaborations with local, migrant and minority communities holds a great importance. During the summit we will present a short summary of examples from our recent festival Between Land and Sea 2024. We think that it would be particularly interesting for the summit taking place in Prizren, to tell and delve into the story of the process of mutual learning and exchange with the Arbereshe community of Piana degli Albanesi (a small town in the province of Palermo) that happened during all phases of the production of Mamma Perdonami, a film and installation by Genny Petrotta, taking advantage of sharing the stage with the artist herself.

On the opening there will be a DJ session by Agostino Quaranta, curated by Giorgio Mega. On the last day we will participate with a panel discussion: ‘Community Collaboration in Artistic Production’.

Speakers: Giorgio Mega (FSR); Genny Petrotta (Artist); Leutrim Fishekqiu (Co-founding Director of Autostrada Biennale); Nora Unger (Recyclart).

Fondazione Studio Rizoma, Autostrada Biennale, Postane Istanbul, Inland, and Recyclart are founding members of the Cultural Hubs Network of Allianz Foundations.
