We are pleased to announce the Open Calls for Teatro Garibaldi, as a tool to initiate a shared process of building both the space and its programme. An invitation to those who imagine culture as a practice of relationship, participation, and transformation.
A theatre understood not only as a place for performance, but as a space for encounter, listening, and the production of shared meaning: a platform shaped by artistic practices, civic reflection, and forms of participation rooted in Palermo and open to the Mediterranean and Europe.
OPEN CALL 1: ARTISTIC PROGRAMMING
For artists, artistic collectives, institutions, and cultural operators based in Europe and the Mediterranean region. It supports works and productions that explore identities, migration, climate justice, democracy, and processes of social transformation.
OPEN CALL 2: DAILY PROGRAMMING
For local socio-cultural operators, educators, and groups based in Palermo. It supports everyday practices that make Teatro Garibaldi an open and inhabited space, in dialogue with the Kalsa district and local communities.
