Borderline Modernity is the book born from the eponymous exhibition project, curated by Pietro Airoldi and Izabella Anna Moren, already presented in Warsaw and Krakow. At the center of the project are the photographs of Giovanna Silva, who explores modern and contemporary architecture and the urban landscape in Sicily and Poland, two territories at the margins of the European Union, united by a complex relationship with the legacy of post-war architectural heritage and with the very idea of modernity.
