The Arenella Atlas Summer School brings the findings of the March 2025 study trip back to Palermo. It aims to transform the collected material into a public exhibition and curatorial program.
Architecture students from ETH Zurich and the Accademia di Belle Arti Palermo (Abap) will collaborate to design, build, and curate an exhibition that explores the conditions and potential futures of the Ex-Chimica site in Arenella.
Over the course of 12 days, participants will engage in hands-on activities and open discussions, reflecting on the role of architects and other urban actors in processes of transformation. The exhibition itself is conceived as an essential first step in reimagining the site’s future.
The summer school is open to Abap students, and a basic knowledge of English is recommended. Participation is free, though a contribution is requested for shared transport and group meals.
