The Between Land and Sea 2025<\/i> catalogue brings together personal contributions from the artists invited to engage with this year\u2019s theme: \u201cSignificato.\u201d Each artist was asked to offer a personal contribution and their own definition of the term, transforming the publication into a collective space of passage across practices, languages, and visions.<\/p>\n

During the festival, the collective Corps Citoyen presented \u201cBARRANI \u2013 The Double Absence\u201d<\/i>, born as a sound research project that became a stage work, later unfolding into both a performance and a music production, within a field of echoes, reverberations, and words. \u201cBarrani,\u201d in Tunisian Arabic, means foreigner, literally \u201cthe one who comes from outside\u201d: an a-topos presence, suspended between origin and arrival, embodying the condition of the \u201cdouble absence\u201d described by Sayad.<\/p>\n

For Corps Citoyen, the renegotiation of \u201cSignificato\u201d is constitutive of an ever-evolving identity: an in-between space that challenges binarisms and rewrites, through echoes and gestural archives.<\/p>\n
