Marseille-based ceramic artist Samuele Perraro has always been fascinated by form and volume. He initially devoted himself mainly to drawing, but it was only in his twenties that he discovered clay. It was a true turning point\u2014a transition from two-dimensional to three-dimensional expression. Working with clay allowed him to develop and explore deeper forms while discovering the importance of texture and materiality.<\/p>\n
After an initial period focused on sculpture, he discovered the potter’s wheel. Since then, he has never stopped using it, continually seeking the perfect balance between softness and strength.<\/p>\n
At the heart of his artistic practice lies the contrast between different textures and forms.
